Important IT system upgrade
We’re carrying out an important upgrade to our systems to improve the services we provide to our members. Access to online systems and contact points, including MyRCGP and the member helpdesk, are temporarily unavailable with a gradual restoration of services from Tuesday 16 December.
Please be aware that during this time, you won’t be able to log in to your membership account, update your profile, or access event, exam booking or eLearning.
After the upgrade, you will be asked to change your password the first time you log in.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.
MRCGP: Applied Knowledge Test (AKT)
The Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) forms part of the MRCGP.
It examines the knowledge base behind independent general practice in the UK within the context of the NHS. Candidates who pass will show they can apply knowledge at a high enough level for independent practice.
