Ian Watson Memorial Lecture

Dr. Ian Watson (1909-1979) was a General Practitioner based in Guildford and Dorking, a researcher, author, and former President of the Royal College of General Practitioners (1970-72). Every year, in his memory, the South West Thames Faculty organises an annual Memorial Lecture. This year, we are pleased to announce that Dr. John Nichols will be speaking at the lecture. Dr Nichols was a trainee of Ian Watson, and he will be reminiscing about his memories of Ian and how he greatly influenced the field of general practice. He will also deliver a talk on "A Brief History of Medicine".
