RCGP welcomes the Welsh Government’s new women’s health resources for young people
Publication date: 04 December 2025
RCGP Cymru Wales welcomes the Welsh Government’s new women’s health resources for young people. Initiatives that build understanding of menstruation, conditions such as endometriosis, and life stages such as the menopause help break down stigma and encourage earlier, more open conversations about health. These resources are valuable for young people thinking about their own current and future health, and will enable them to better support friends, family members, and others in their communities.
Good health literacy is essential for lifelong wellbeing, and is central to the work of RCGP members and NHS Wales primary care teams, helping people recognise symptoms, seek help at the right time, and take an active role in their own care.
RCGP Cymru Wales is pleased to lend its support as these resources roll out, helping to nurture open and informed dialogue about women’s health across Wales.
