Time with patients is a commodity in short supply - College Chair explains in the Daily Mirror

RCGP Chair Professor Kamila Hawthorne has authored an opinion piece for the Daily Mirror, explaining the challenging situation facing UK general practice. Kamila highlighted the issues which GPs and their patients are faced with daily, drawing on her own practice experience. Included were calls for the long-awaited NHS workforce plan and more meaningful support from the government.

The College will continue to work with the media to promote the excellent patient care delivered by our members and their teams, despite immense workload and workforce pressures. We will also continue to defend our members against negative and unwarranted criticism.
