College update on patient data proposals – GPDPR

On 28 May, the RCGP and BMA wrote to NHS Digital about the GP Data for Planning and Research Programme, urging them to communicate more fully with patients and inform them of their options.

Discussions around next steps for the programme are ongoing and we are awaiting a formal response to our letter but will now be escalating our concerns.
