Edinburgh | Meet your local Faculty Board

Did you know that RCGP is made up of a network of faculties, a unique infrastructure that supports members wherever you are? For members based across the Lothians, Scottish Borders and South Fife, you're part of the South East Scotland Faculty. Members of all career stages are invited to this informal networking event at The Place Hotel, York Place, Edinburgh to meet your local representatives, understand the role of the Faculty Board and connect with peers from across the area. Food and networking from 18:00-19:15, followed immediately by the quarterly Board Meeting at 19:30, those interested can stay on to observe.

Managing Burnout and Stress in General Practice

The entire practice team are invited to a lunchtime, interview-style online training session on managing stress, burnout, and mental wellness in general practice. This interactive session will take the form of a Q&A rather than a traditional lecture, offering a valuable opportunity to explore key topics such as burnout, compassion fatigue, stress, and poor mental health among GPs and their teams.

Inverness | Thrive in First5 (Cohort 7)

Thrive in First5 is a new programme designed to support Scotland-based GPs in their first five years post-qualification. Led by an experienced GP coach, it offers workshops with practical tools and techniques, short webinars throughout the year, an annual networking event, and ongoing peer support via a closed WhatsApp group. The course runs face to face across two workshops (09:30–16:30) on Thursday 24 September and Thursday 15 October 2026.
