RCGP Scotland | Minor Surgery

This two-day course is open to trainees, General Practitioners and Practice Nurses and will enable attendees to develop the skills required to run a successful minor surgery service in primary care. Topics covered include; minor skin procedures and non-surgical techniques, as well as advice about how to set up a service and the medico-legal and contractual obligations required of those practicing minor surgery.

North East Scotland | An Introduction to Lifestyle Medicine

This session will provide an introduction to Lifestyle Medicine and its role in preventing, managing and, where possible, reversing chronic disease. The talk will explore the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine as recognised by the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, including healthy eating, physical activity, sleep, mental well-being, healthy relationships, and minimising harmful substances. Dr Julie Gray MRCGP will also discuss the practical application of Lifestyle Medicine within everyday clinical practice and highlight opportunities for further learning, training and involvement in the field.
