Managing paediatric respiratory tract infections– what is the evidence?

Primary care antibiotic prescribing in children aged 0-9 years has increased in recent years compared to the pre-COVID-19 pandemic, with 5.3 million prescriptions for children aged 0 – 14 years in 2022. Much of this prescribing will be driven by consultations for respiratory tract infections and the aim of this webinar is to support clinicians to manage consultations for RTIs in children and young people and consider appropriate strategies for clinical management. This is the first of two webinars on paediatric prescribing in primary care, with the second session focusing on applying guidance to scenarios in general practice.
