Diabetes and health inequalities has remained an area of critical concern in health care. A significant percentage of NHS budget goes into diabetes care, emphasizing the need for effective management and addressing health inequalities. This can only be achieved by creating awareness, education, and targeted interventions. It is crucial to be aware of the Factors contributing to health inequalities in diabetes, the difficulties our patients face in identifying the healthy options and how to mitigate these factors and address them. Our guest speaker, Dr Almas Saleem Agha, will be discussing diabetes care and health inequalities. The most effective diabetes management of our patients will be explored. Northwest England faculty board Meeting June 2024

The Northwest Faculty board would like to invite you to Join our upcoming board meeting. We will discuss RCGP's upcoming Council agenda, which cover topics from health policy to standards of care and education in general practice, as well as RCGP's membership offer. All Board members are invited to share their views, for our Council rep to relay to RCGP Chair of Council. We rely on volunteers to play an active role, give views, feed in information from local groups and shape local general practice via the North West England Faculty board. All members are invited to attend their local Board meeting, and may wish to continue as a substantive attendee and contribute to our discussions by joining as a member of the Faculty Board.

Cumbria Faculty board meeting | June 2024

Our Faculty board meet four times per year in February, June, September and November and is made up of GP volunteers and Lay representatives. We also have representation from local groups such as student's groups, First 5 and AiTs. All Cumbria members are welcome to attend Faculty boards to observe.

RCGPNI Office

RCGPNI CPR Class - 11 June 2024

This evening class is one in a series of CPR classes run by RCGP in Northern Ireland. This is a basic life support class open to RCGP members and non-members. GPs in Northern Ireland are required to update their CPR training every 15 months. The CPR class will be conducted in person at our office in Belfast.
