Group aim
The group will provide a platform for GPs interested in Artificial intelligence to share best practices, innovations and insights specific to AI in general practice.
Current work
The group is newly created, and we are in the process of producing a workplan the group are going to focus around the following three areas:
- Connect – facilitate member engagement through the RCGP forum, providing a space for open communication and peer support.
- Represent – advocate by influencing policy where appropriate and sharing best practices
- Develop – create practical guidelines and activities to support members in the use of AI.
Participation from members is encouraged to help shape the direction and impact of the group.
Connect with the group
The AI Special Interest Group and wider Health Informatics Group are inclusive groups that require only interest and engagement. Although these groups include experts working at the level of national leadership in IT, data and AI affect every clinician and the groups provide a forum for all members to contribute to the work of the College - skills and experience in IT or AI are not necessary for your contribution to be respected and valuable.
AI-relevant discussions in our online forum can be found by searching for #artificial-intelligence, and the AI group has an active introductory thread in the Virtual Health Informatics Group space in our online Forum where you can engage in discussions, share knowledge, and stay updated on the latest developments and opportunities within the group.
