GP Families Yorkshire Faculty

This FREE two-hour event is designed specifically for members of the Yorkshire Faculty. In this challenging time as the pandemic continues, we want to offer all Yorkshire RCGP members the chance to join a new family where you will find friendship and a sharing of ideas across generations. We want to bring together students, FY doctors, AiTs, First5s, mid and late career as well as already retired GPs to stimulate and support each other. This can be done by cross fertilising their enthusiasms and frustrations about being a GP, at the same time encouraging each other towards an enjoyable and sustainable GP life.

Hot Topics in Paediatrics for GP

The number of patient complaints is on the rise and it is almost inevitable that a GP will receive at least one complaint in their career. Good complaint management can reduce the stress and anxiety that is naturally associated with a complaint, and prevent the complaint from escalating to The Public Services and Health Ombudsman, NHS England’s Performance Advisory Group and the GMC. This talk will discuss how complaints should be managed, what steps to take, and how to draft a good complaint response letter.
