East Scotland Faculty trainees are invited to an evening careers networking event. You'll meet GPs working in big practices, small practices, rural and urban areas, academics, those working in OOHs, salaried GPs, partners, locums, GPs with extended roles - promoting the wide range of career opportunities within the world of general practice.

Our Faculty Board meets quarterly (February, June, September, and November), primarily online. It comprises GP volunteers, lay representatives, and members from groups like First5 and GP registrars. Volunteers bring insights, share local updates, and shape general practice via feeding in to National Council Meetings. We encourage local GPs to join the Faculty board and contribute actively.
Habitually saying 'yes' to all requests comes from a core belief that we must agree to everything to be valued. Here we challenge this concept and provide the specific tools for saying no.

This conference will cover the challenges and opportunities presented in rural health. Sessions will include undergraduate medical education in rural practice, living with chronic pain, a Versus Arthritis patient session, paediatric emergencies and referral pathways, hope and advocacy in rural practice.
