Active Bystander Training

Witnessing verbal and physical abuse, discrimination, racism and micro-aggression effects everyone! Have you ever been in a situation where you want to challenge someones behaviour - but you didnt know how to do it or what to say? This session has been developed to support ALL members of the Primary Care Team. It includes self-coaching techniques to help you keep a cool head when youre faced with a challenging situation, and assertive language devices which you can use to make sure your voice is heard if you want to raise a concern. The session focuses on challenging inappropriate workplace behaviours from patients and colleagues and will give you the tools needed to be able to do this confidently.

Cumbria family fun and wellbeing day at Watchtree Nature Reserve

Join us on this fascinating back to nature day out at Watchtree Nature Reserve. There are lots of adventures to be had when visiting the reserve, including walking the many trails, spotting the diverse wildlife, and just getting yourself immersed in nature. On the day we hope to walk the trails, spot and talk about the wildlife, flora and fauna, see some of the resident deer and maybe even try a spot of pond dipping. Later we will dry off around the campfire. Please feel free to bring a packed lunch or snacks to enjoy around the fire. Throughout, we will be supported by a trained nature guide. The afternoon is then free for you to do as you please. Open to all members, their family and friends.
