COIN Talk - Using Music to Develop Youth as Community Activists

Communities of Integration Network (COIN) is a network of practitioners and academics supported by the three RCGP Faculties in London. The purpose of COIN is to advance the understanding and implementation of community-oriented integrated care. Upcoming meeting on Monday 21st October (21.00-22.30) will be hosted by Nazeem, (from the Gambia) and Vicki Doyle (UK) who have established an NGO in Gambia (Dole Ndawi) which uses the transformative power of music to empower youth. Nazeem works with youth to write songs that highlight the issues they encounter that obstruct healthy living and promote healthy living. With those same youth he sings the songs in ways that draw the attention of local people and governments to what they can do to improve things. Join us to learn more.
