EASE Diagnosis and management of common shoulder problems in primary care

AiTs and First Fives in North East and North Central London Faculty: Education And Social Evening (EASE) Talk aimed at GP trainees who may see shoulder pain in the community. It will encompass the commonest problems encountered in all age groups. The aims are to provide some guidance on how to make the diagnosis, when to refer to secondary care, and how to initiate early management.

Veterans' Health Event: a collaboration with the RCPsych

This December the Royal College of General Practitioners will run the annual joint event with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The event, which will be held at the RCPsych London building, is a great opportunity for interaction between our specialties, and help to facilitate this joint working. This year the programme will focus on the theme of veterans' mental health and will also include information related to a new programme developed by RCGP and NHS England to accredit veteran friendly GP practices across England.

MRCGP CSA Exam Preparation course 11-12 January 2020

This is an RCGP two-day course organised by RCGP North East London Faculty. It is designed to familiarise delegates with the assessment process for the CSA module with guidance on preparation methodologies, opportunities to practice with mock CSA cases in the actual examination circuit (conducted in small groups with role players). The course explores the importance of language and culture in consultation models and thereby put candidates in good stead to passing the CSA. The course is delivered by experienced examiners.

Primary Care and Cancer Matters: GP Train the Trainer Workshop

The Royal College of General Practitioners and Cancer Research UK, partnered with local HEE post graduate medical education teams, invite you to attend a FREE one-day workshop focused on the enhanced role of primary care in cancer control. This workshop will consist of a keynote speaker, Dr Richard Roope (RCGP and CRUK Clinical Champion for Cancer) and local cancer clinical leaders.
