12th South London LCARM Forum: What the study of medical history offers GPs

Effective out of hours practice; sepsis, mental health and challenging situations

This four part series of webinars open to GP Trainees working towards their unscheduled care competencies and GPs wanting to start or return to out of hours work. The RCGP RCA 1-Day Preparation Course - 8 October 2021

This one-day interactive course has been designed for those planning to take the RCA component of the MRCGP (ST2 and ST3). It will assist with your preparation for the MRCGP RCA examination, providing you with update RCA information, mandatory criteria, focusing on your consultation skills and how to select your recordings. You will also take part in simulated role plays which will be observed by current RCA examiners, who will provide you with feedback on your performance and offer assistance to enable to reach your maximum potential.

The RCGP RCA 3-Day Preparation Course

This three-day RCA course aims to improve your consultation skills and as a result pass your RCA. The course offers interactive sessions with experienced trainers and examiners, a highlight being Dr Roger Neighbour, a renowned teacher on the skills of communication within the GP consultation. You will take part in three mock exams with a role player whilst being observed by an examiner, with the opportunity to also observe three cases. The course will conclude with one to one time with an examiner, giving you feedback on your performance along with a panel Q&A session with the examiners lead by Prof Rich Withnall, RCGP Chief Examiner.
