Learn and Connect: Diabetes & health inequalities - What is beyond Metformin

Diabetes and health inequalities has remained an area of critical concern in health care. A significant percentage of NHS budget goes into diabetes care, emphasizing the need for effective management and addressing health inequalities. This can only be achieved by creating awareness, education, and targeted interventions. It is crucial to be aware of the Factors contributing to health inequalities in diabetes, the difficulties our patients face in identifying the healthy options and how to mitigate these factors and address them. Our guest speaker, Dr Almas Saleem Agha, will be discussing diabetes care and health inequalities. The most effective diabetes management of our patients will be explored. This session will give you an opportunity to network with colleagues from the area and will cover various areas covering Diabetes inequality:

Ingleton Waterfalls Trail

Walk and Talk Series - Ingleton Waterfalls

Do you enjoy a walk through the beautiful countryside of the northwest? Would you value the opportunity to talk with other GPs about current issues affecting general practice which are causing worry and stress? We would like to invite you to join the faculty on the first of our new series of 'Walk and Talk' events. For this inaugural walk we will be meeting at the wonderfully picturesque Ingleton Waterfalls in Lancashire. We will set off at 11am on the 4 mile circular trail through woodland following the path of the river. As well as discussing the chosen topic as we ramble through the countryside, there will be an opportunity to stop, enjoy the view and engage in a group conversation about how we are finding working in General practice today. It will be a lovely day out and your family are welcome to join us too.
