Joining and rejoining fees

View fees payble on joining and re-joining RCGP, which are calculated on pro-rata basis

Membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March  and is due for renewal on 1 April each year. If you are joining or rejoining during the membership year, you will pay pro-rata fees on application and will be invited to renew your membership on the subsequent 1 April.

A renewal notice will be sent to you in late February/early March. It is important that you carefully review all your details and your fees at that time and notify us without delay if any changes are required.

UK RESIDENTS

If you are a UK resident, your fees will be based on your earnings in the previous tax year or your individual circumstances. There are a number of discount available to you, details of which can be found on the Discounted rates page.

OVERSEAS RESIDENTS

Overseas fees are based on the World Bank country categorisation, dividing countries into 4 economic bands. Each band offers a substantial discount from the full UK rate, which is set at £485, making membership accessible to members worldwide. The percentage discounts are outlined below.

Economic band          Discount from full UK rate
High economy countries          50% discount
Upper middle economy countries          75% discount
Lower middle economy countries          90% discount
Low Economy countries          95% discount

If you are joining during the year, you will pay pro-rata fees on application and will be asked to renew your membership on the subsequent 1 April. The discounted overseas resident rate will be automatically applied to your record  each year, provided that we have your current overseas address on file. Please ensure that you notify the membership services team promptly of any changes to your address, or that you update your details online via the members' self-service area.

The 2012-13 joining/re-joining rates have been calculated for you and are detailed in the Overseas resident pro-rata schedule of fees.

You can locate your country of residence on the World Bank country categorisation list.
