About us

We support over 1850 members, Fellows, Associates and Associates in Training in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Getting involved

We rely on members to play an active role locally, promoting the College aims and objectives. It is essential to raise and maintain awareness of demographic issues and needs of GPs and patients alike, and develop initiatives to support these.

If you would like to find out more about becoming involved with the faculty we would be delighted to hear from you.

Faculty News

Board meetings

The last Faculty Board meeting was held on Tuesday 12 September at the Lambert Arms, Aston Rowant near Thame. The next will be held on Tuesday 20 February 2018.

All members of the Faculty are invited to attend Board meetings, please contact us at for more information..

Faculty AGM

Our AGM was held on the evening of Tuesday 31 October. The Faculty was delighted to welcome Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard, RCGP Chair, who held a Meet & Greet with local medical students, followed later by a talk to Faculty members about her vision for General Practice, and her insights into the future. Her presentation, entitled "Celebrating achievements, shifting horizons and sustainable careers", was both entertaining and inspirational. Watch this space for details of forthcoming Faculty social events.

Faculty Events

We run an extensive education programme for all of our Members. The WONCA Europe Conference 2017 was held in Prague, from 28 June - 1 July, its theme being "Growing together in diversity". A bursary in the amount of £1000 for GP trainees was awarded to Dr Luke Allen, who presented a poster at the conference. Read his submission.
