About us

Mersey faculty supports over 2,300 Members, Fellows, Associates, Associates in Training, Foundation Year doctors, Students and General Practice Foundation members in: Liverpool; Wirral; Sefton; Knowsley; Halton and St Helens; East & West Cheshire; and Isle of Man.

We actively support First5 GPs in: Chester, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Ormskirk and Warrington. We hope that the Wirral group will be re-launched soon. These groups meet on a regular basis. If you would like to join a First5 group please contact for details.

We also financially support a number of GP CPD groups via our annual bursaries. Scroll down to Bursaries.

Getting involved

We rely on members to play an active role locally, promoting the RCGP aims and objectives. It is essential to raise and maintain awareness of demographic issues and needs of GPs and patients alike, and develop initiatives to support these.

If you would like to find out more about becoming involved with the Mersey Faculty we would be delighted to hear from you.
