RCGP Constitution
RCGP is governed according to the requirements set out in our royal charter, ordinances, bye-laws and standing orders. Updated versions of our constitutional documents were approved at the 2002 AGM. The supplemental charter and ordinances were formally approved by the Privy Council and effective as of 14 May 2003.
RCGP royal charter
We were founded in 1952 and granted a royal charter 20 years later. A supplemental charter was issued in 2003.
RCGP ordinances and bye-laws
The ordinances and bye-laws include provisions related to general meetings, election and appointment of RCGP Council members and governance of Devolved Councils and Faculties.
RCGP standing orders
The standing orders cover RCGP Council composition, procedure and standing committees.
