CPCS Clinical Facilitator GP

Tenure

Time commitment and remuneration

£312.18 per month, 5.5 hours per month at £56.76 per hour (plus opportunity to pick up additional hours)

The role

The Primary Care Development Team are recruiting GP clinical facilitators to deliver online training to community pharmacists as part of a joint national project between the RCGP and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. The training will equip pharmacists with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to undertake effective consultations and clinical assessments including blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry and peak flow.

Online and e-learning delivery in groups make this a wide-ranging role in a progressive, adaptable and flexible team. The successful candidate will be an experienced educator, ideally a clinical or educational supervisor.

All training will be delivered from home using online video platforms. Training delivery will alternate between 2.5 and 3 hours per week and may take place on evenings and weekends; we are therefore looking for people who are available on a part-time basis who have flexibility. The course is split into two sessions, delivered one week apart to allow for reflection and practical application of clinical skills covered in the first session. GPs will be contracted at minimum 5.5 hours a month and will be paid at RCGP sessional rate as standard. They will deliver this training alongside two ANPs.
