Salesforce Chatter Terms of Use

Please review the following terms of service and use prior to accessing, utilising, or sharing any content, materials, information, or services through the Salesforce Platform. By utilising the Salesforce platform via the Salesforce website, mobile, or tablet applications, you hereby agree to these terms of service in addition to the College's Privacy Policy. Within the confines of these terms, "we", "us", and "the College" will refer to The Royal College of General Practitioners, while "you" or "your" will refer to you as the user of the Salesforce platform.

We may modify any portion of these Terms of Service at any time and will do so by circulating an updated version to users. Any changes will not affect rights and/or obligations that arose prior to the enactment of such changes. Your continued use of the Salesforce platform will thereby be subject to the Terms in effect at the time of your registration. If you object to any provision noted within these Terms of Service as well as any subsequent modifications, please contact the RCGP staff member that is responsible for administering your Salesforce Chatter group.

I. Terms of Service

The College owns the Salesforce platform. You may access and use the Salesforce platform via the Salesforce website, mobile or tablet application if you have been invited to do so by a member of the RCGP and agree to the terms set out in this document. If you do not agree to the terms herein you should not access and/or use the Salesforce platform.

II. Platform Content

You are responsible for your use of the Salesforce platform as well as any content you provide therein, including strict compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Any use of content or materials shared via the Salesforce platform or obtained from the Salesforce platform is done so at the user's own risk. The College does not endorse, support, represent, or guarantee the comprehensiveness, truthfulness, or reliability of any content, including communications, posted on the Salesforce platform by invited users, nor any opinions shared by invited users.

The College reserves the right to remove any content found to be offensive, harmful, threatening, or not in accordance with the intended purpose of the Salesforce platform. Such content is defined herein as "inappropriate conduct", and these Terms of Service stipulate that users do not engage in inappropriate conduct. Accordingly, users of the Salesforce platform may not, under any circumstances, promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other users on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease. Violations of use will be monitored by a full-time moderator who will flag and request removal of such content.

Users who are found to be responsible for the posting of inappropriate content will be contacted privately and issued a formal warning. Repeated instances of inappropriate conduct may result in the temporary limitation of the user's access to features of the Salesforce platform and/or termination from the platform.

III. Use of Content

Invited users of the Salesforce platform may copy, download, adapt or print off copies of the materials, information, data and other content shared on the Salesforce platform for strictly personal use. This provision for personal use does not extend to any content or information that may be either under patent or the registered intellectual property of another user on the Salesforce platform. The use of these materials for personal use should be undertaken in good faith, respecting legal rights of those providing the materials and in accordance with any guidelines applicable to the users of the platform. Users will need to obtain permission from both the RCGP as well as the owner of the content prior to any other use of content hosted on the Salesforce platform.

IV. Use of Images

The rights in images, trademarks, trade names, and logos included on the Salesforce platform are owned by the College and/or third parties. You will need to obtain permission from the owner before you may use these images, trademarks, trade names, and logos.

V. Third Party Content

The College does not monitor the content of any links to third party websites or content hosted on third party websites posted to the Salesforce platform. Any link provided to a third-party website on the Salesforce platform is solely for the user's convenience and is done so at the liability of the user. The College does not accept or claim responsibility for any third-party website or for other users of the Salesforce platform.

VI. Expectations of Use

The College does not warrant that the Salesforce platform or any content hosted therein will be available uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected in an immediate manner. The College does provide that any errors or issues that arise on the Salesforce platform will be addressed in a prompt manner but cannot guarantee the speed of these repairs.

For the avoidance of doubt there is no acceptance of any liability to the College or to Users in the case of interrupted or delayed performance of obligations relating to the platform due to the non-availability or failure of any telecommunications or computer services, systems, equipment or software operated or provided by you or any third party on the Salesforce platform.
