Faculty workshop 2017

Shaping the future of general practice is the key theme for this year’s Faculty workshops and we want to hear your views.

Tell us what it’s like working as a GP in 2017 and what you think the College should be doing to improve the working experiences of GPs in your area.

As you may be aware the GP Forward View is our key campaigning priority and could be the lifeline general practice urgently needs. We continue to push the government to deliver on it’s pledge to invest an extra £2.4bn of funding into the profession by 2020/21. To achieve this end we have created a new multidisciplinary directorate which aims to monitor, influence and enable implementation.

At this year’s workshops we want you tell us what tangible difference would look like to you. We also want to know how connected you feel to your Faculty and what else it could be doing to shape primary care services in your area.

The College’s strategic plan is currently in development and ‘RCGP local’ is a key component of this. We want to explore how Faculties can exert greater influence and help to drive the national agenda.

We want this year’s workshops to be thought-provoking, forward looking and relevant to you as a member. Dr Terry Kemple, RCGP president will host the event and will be available all day to take your questions.
