Welcome from Yorkshire Faculty
We support over 2040 members, Fellows, Associates and Associates in Training in the Yorkshire area, which covers West Yorkshire (Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees, Calderdale) and Harrogate. We offer excellent CPD and professional training courses. Alongside supporting our local GPs, we also strive to be the first point of contact for our members. Our board members include medical students from the Leeds GPSoc, First5s and members at all stages of their career. The Yorkshire Faculty is one of few Faculties to also have non-GP members on its board including nurses and practice managers.
Get involved
We rely on members to play an active role locally, promoting the college and the Faculty's aims and objectives but also, we rely on you to bring your ideas to the Faculty board about how we can continue to improve the services that we offer. All members are welcome to attend Faculty board meetings, which take place four times a year ( February, June, September and November) at the Cedar Court Hotel Leeds or Bradford.
The Yorkshire Faculty board is made up of a wide range or members from Medical Students from the Leeds GPSoc, FY doctors, AiTs, First5s and members at all stages of their career. We also have none GP members on the board including nurses, and practice managers.
Upcoming events
The Yorkshire Faculty runs many educational events throughout the year, many of these contribute to your professional development and CPD. We also organise social and networking events. Find a full list of courses and events.

First5
We support our GP members within their First 5 years following CCT. We have First5 representatives on our faculty board who are keen to support First5 colleagues and organise initiatives to bring them together. They can be contacted via the faculty office.
Harrogate First 5 aims to meet once a month in the evening at one of the GP surgeries in Harrogate. We are a small, friendly group and our sessions are informal - sometimes we will have a speaker giving a presentation, sometimes we will just discuss some case studies and have a chat! Newly qualified GPs working in the area are most welcome, If you are interested in joining then please e-mail Heather heathergill@doctors.org.uk
