Trusted

We already have an excellent track record in supporting practices in difficulty through the provision of the National Peer Support Service commissioned by the Department of Health and NHS England from 2014-2017 to support practices that entered special measures. 87% of practices that received RCGP support improved their CQC rating and 80% exited special measures.

The RCGP continues to offer support to practices placed in special measures. In addition, our new consultancy and support programme offers tailored advice and support to any practice that feels they would benefit from our services. The services being provided include a focus on strengthening leadership, enhancing practice communication internally and externally, workforce and capacity issues, finances, premises and supporting collaborative working.

Working with existing practice resources is a key component of the support and is vital in order that changes become embedded and sustainable.
