Welcome to First5: Let's talk about Finances

This event is aimed at newly qualified GPs. There will be sessions on financial priorities as a newly qualified GP, pensions, financial planning. It will take place on 21 November 2019 at Wesleyan, Colmore Circus, Birmingham, B4 6AR. This is a free event. However, non-attendees will be invoiced for £15.00. Continuity of care in General Practice – why is it important and how can we improve it?

The Continuity of Care webinar will showcase the projects that were chosen for the Health Foundation’s Increasing Continuity of Care programme. This past January, five teams began implementing projects which use improvement approaches to support an increase in continuity of care in their GP practices. During the webinar, we will discuss the value of continuity of care in general practice before hearing from some of the project teams about practical tips on how to increase continuity of care. We will finish the webinar by sharing how we plan to measure the impact of this work.

Veterans' Health Event: a collaboration with the RCPsych

This December the Royal College of General Practitioners will run the annual joint event with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The event, which will be held at the RCPsych London building, is a great opportunity for interaction between our specialties, and help to facilitate this joint working.
