About RCGP eLearning

The RCGP, in collaboration with a range of private, public and not for profit partners, has developed over 250 online resources to support CPD and revalidation. The elearning courses span the entire RCGP curriculum, and are thoroughly peer-reviewed and quality assured, to guarantee they meet the highest standard.

The intended audience for our elearning materials are GPs and primary healthcare professionals, GP Specialty Trainees and GP Educators. Courses can be taken at any time, to fit your schedule, and when successfully completed, you will receive an eCertificate for your appraisal portfolio. 

RCGP Essential Knowledge Update Programme

The Essential Knowledge Update (EKU) Programme offers a comprehensive programme of high quality, interactive educational modules that highlight new evidence and guidance of relevance to clinical practice, over a 6 months period. The programme helps users to keep up-to-date with their continuing professional development, testing existing knowledge and highlighting learning and service needs. Each EKU is accompanied by an Essential Knowledge Challenge (EKC); an online applied knowledge test.

COIN Talk - Using Music to Develop Youth as Community Activists

Communities of Integration Network (COIN) is a network of practitioners and academics supported by the three RCGP Faculties in London. The purpose of COIN is to advance the understanding and implementation of community-oriented integrated care. Upcoming meeting on Monday 21st October (21.00-22.30) will be hosted by Nazeem, (from the Gambia) and Vicki Doyle (UK) who have established an NGO in Gambia (Dole Ndawi) which uses the transformative power of music to empower youth. Nazeem works with youth to write songs that highlight the issues they encounter that obstruct healthy living and promote healthy living. With those same youth he sings the songs in ways that draw the attention of local people and governments to what they can do to improve things. Join us to learn more.

The RCGP RCA 3-Day Preparation Course

This three-day RCA course aims to improve your consultation skills and as a result pass your RCA. The course offers interactive sessions with experienced trainers and examiners, a highlight being Dr Roger Neighbour, a renowned teacher on the skills of communication within the GP consultation. You will take part in three mock exams with a role player whilst being observed by an examiner, with the opportunity to also observe three cases. The course will conclude with one to one time with an examiner, giving you feedback on your performance along with a panel Q&A session with the examiners lead by Prof Rich Withnall, RCGP Chief Examiner.

This one-day interactive course has been designed for those planning to take the RCA component of the MRCGP (ST2 and ST3) and is ideal for those planning to submit in January 2022.
