A two day RCGP course run by the Severn Faculty. The course will include an introduction to MRGCP, what to expect and live CSA circuits in communication, ethical dilemmas and clinical cases and has been specially designed to give the trainee GP an understanding of how the CSA is run. This course is only open to Severn and Peninsula Deanery Trainees Only. Places are limited so booking early is essential.

2 Day Minor Surgery Course 30 April & 1 May 2020

This course will enable you to develop the skills required to run a successful minor surgery service in primary care. Topics covered include minor skin procedures, joint injections and non-surgical techniques as well as advice about how to set up a service and the medico-legal and contractual obligations required of those practicing minor surgery.

Severn Faculty RCGP Gala Dinner 2020

This annual evening event will take place at the Aztec Hotel & Spa in Bristol and will include a welcome drink followed by a two course buffet dinner with drinks and an inspiring Gale Lecture entitled: "Making general practice doable" from guest speaker, Professor Martin Marshall CBE. Martin Marshall is a British medical academic and a general practitioner. He is Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners and works as a GP in Newham, East London.

Severn GP Trainee QI Awards Graduation Celebration 2020

This annual celebration which will take place at Bath Racecourse and is for all Severn Deanery GPST3/4s to mark successful completion of GP training with colleagues and supervisors and to celebrate the start of their GP careers. Our guest speaker this year is Dr Rachel Clarke who specialises in palliative medicine. The afternoon will be followed by an early evening celebratory BBQ. Educational and Clinical Supervisors, APDs, TPDs, Deanery and University colleagues are also warmly welcomed. All attendees are required book their place at this free event. Please ensure you include your role and ST status if applicable during the booking process.
