Health Inequalities

The RCGP Health Inequalities Group has been established for over 10 years and aims to ensure that achieving health equity for all remains a key area of policy and practice, with specific reference to the role of General Practice.

New and forthcoming work

  • A health inequalities toolkit is due to be published in 2019.
  • HISG are currently working with the New NHS Alliance to explore ways in which communities can use ‘health creation’ to address health inequalities. A conference is planned later in 2019.
  • We hope to present a number of workshops at the RCGP Annual Conference 2019.
