GP Frontline

GP Frontline is the College's magazine. Published quarterly, it looks at what the College is doing to represent you and act as the 'voice' of general practice on the issues that matter most to you.

GP Frontline - Issue 19, Autumn 2021

This issue takes a look at how the College has acted on the workforce crisis in general practice, including details of our rescue package, as well as our response to the onslaught of scrutiny from the media. It also includes an interview with Prof. Chris Whitty, and a closer look at the great GP vaccination effort.

GP Frontline - Issue 18, Autumn 2020

This issue of GP Frontline looks at the response of general practice to the Covid-19 pandemic. GPs and their teams have been at the forefront of tackling the virus, and continue to be so. Read first-hand accounts of how GPs have been working differently to deliver patient care in incredibly difficult circumstances - as well as about how the RCGP has been supporting its members.

GP Frontline - Issue 17, Spring 2020

A special edition of GP Frontline paying tribute to the work of GPs and their teams during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as outlining the RCGP's response to the biggest health crisis the NHS has ever faced.

Other features include a Big Interview with former College President Dr Roger Neighbour, the story of a Croydon practice that turned itself around and profiles of the Chairs of the AiT, First 5, Late Career and Retired Members and Junior International Committees.

GP Lives include a Dublin GP championing the care for homeless people, a 47-year-old trainee, and a role model for black women GPs – and Dr Rowena Christmas makes her case for why the College was right to support a 'smacking ban' across the UK.
