President's listening exercise

Talk to your President

Professor Mayur Lakhani

Hello, I am Mayur Lakhani, proud to be a GP in Leicestershire and proud to be President of the Royal College of GPs.

One of my manifesto commitments when I was elected College President was to hold a 'listening exercise' to give frontline GPs an opportunity to talk directly to the College about what you think we can do to better meet your needs and expectations.

I am holding a series of events around the UK and the next one is in Aberdeen on the 24 April 2019 from 7 - 9pm at:

Aberdeen Marriott Hotel
Overton Circle-Dyce
Aberdeen, AB21 7AZ

I am keen to hear from current members of the College, previous members of the College, and GPs who have never been members.

I will then share your views and recommendations with RCGP Chair Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard and College Council later this year, along with a clear action plan based on your feedback.

The RCGP is the UK's largest Medical Royal College but general practice as a profession and the working lives of GPs are changing rapidly and we need to provide GPs with the best support we possibly can to help you care for yourselves, as well as your patients.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you in Aberdeen on the 24 April 2019.
