Inflammatory Bowel Disease affects 1 in 250 patients in the UK. The impact on education, work, and family life can be significant. Building on the development of the IBD toolkit and eLearning module in 2017-2018, the RCGP and Crohn's and Colitis UK Inflammatory Bowel Disease Spotlight Project team are looking to recruit seven Regional Champions across the UK to help develop and deliver educational materials to help GPs diagnose and support their patients.  

Cancer Research UK/RCGP Northern Ireland GP Cancer Lead 

The Cancer Research UK/RCGP Northern Ireland GP cancer lead will play a key role in delivering the RCGP 'Cancer as a Clinical Priority' programme in Northern Ireland. They will also be part of a multi-disciplinary team that raises awareness of the pivotal role of primary care in the early diagnosis of cancer, provides education, tools and resources, and offers leadership and quality improvement support for the earlier diagnosis of cancer. 

Funding is available for up to 2 sessions per week, with an attractive remuneration, community of practice and leadership development package. For more information see the key responsibilities of the role [PDF] and information pack [PDF].

The deadline for expressions of interest is 30 May 2018. Interviews for the role will take place on either Wednesday 13 June or Thursday 21 June 2018 in Belfast.
