Rejoining the College

The College is actively seeking ways to ensure that membership is relevant and responds to the needs of our members at every stage of their career from medical school and training, to practice and beyond.

We hope that members will continue to value their membership, not only for what the College stands for, but also because of the benefits it brings.

Being a member may not cost as much as you think. For example, if you are working in another specialty, you could be eligible for a 50% discount on your subscription fee as a ‘Member of Secondary Affiliation’. This is just one way in which we have responded to the needs of our members and continue to provide tangible benefits to help maintain their links with the College.

If you have allowed your membership to lapse (for whatever reason) and would like to rejoin, we would be delighted to hear from you. You can simply complete an application form and return it with the appropriate fee to the Membership Support Department. If you would like to discuss your reinstatement application, please do not hesitate to contact us on 020 7589 8710 or e-mail membership@rcgp.org.uk The cost to rejoin depends both on your circumstances and the point in the subscription year at which you rejoin. For more information on membership fees and discounts available, please follow the current subscription fees link.
