RCGP Website Privacy Statement
The Royal College of General Practitioners websites and other web based systems do not collect or store personal information about individuals, except where you choose to give us information, either via online ordering, the membership application process and updating your membership details, registering with ePortfolio and updating your training information., or in other online forms or emails you may send to the College. Membership data or that gathered by forms or emails is used for the purpose of the login for the members’ area on the website.
The Online Bookstore pages provide further information about processing of data collected via online ordering.
Personal information entered on the membership database will be used solely for the administration of the RCGP including the Faculties and Regional Offices, and its membership system. The RCGP may also use this information for the purposes of sending you information about products or services which the RCGP believe will be of interest to you and in promoting the College. If you do not want to receive this information please contact the Membership Support department.
Personal information you enter in ePortfolio relating to your GP training will be accessible only by yourself and your Trainer, together with your Deanery for Administration purposes. Information you enter in your personal area will be accessible only by you.
All personal data is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will not pass any of your personal data to outside organisations or individuals without your express consent.
You have a right to know about the personal information the RCGP holds about you, and to have your data corrected or deleted. Our Data Protection Policy is available on the website.
