RCGP Certificate in the Management of Drug Misuse - PART 2
Join the thousands of GPs, pharmacists, nurses, drugs workers
and expert patients who have completed training with
RCGP Substance Misuse and Associated Health and are now
passionately working at a senior level in their services providing
quality treatment to drug users.
You will be able to support local colleagues in the care of drug
users and have the confidence to use your knowledge and expertise
to facilitate local training and education sessions that support
learning for a range of professional groups whose role involves
caring for substance misusers
By the end of the course you will have developed competencies
relevant to and suitable for providing interventions at a primary
care with a "special interest" level, as outlined in the Department
of Health Clinical Guidelines Drug misuse and dependence – UK
guidelines on clinical management 2007 (DH 2007). Your newly
acquired skills will have provided you with sound lifelong learning
habits by using research evidence to inform practice.
Applications 2012
This certificate course is run on an annual basis, from
February to November.
