Books

The historic book collection includes a substantive number of biographies of doctors, reminiscences and works about the history of medicine with an emphasis on the history of practice e.g.
 
An Apple a Day

  • Sixty four years a doctor: Reminiscences of Sir Charles Brown 1922; 
  • My life in general practice H W Pooler 1948

The College archives also has a small collection of unpublished memoirs of working in general practice in the late twentieth century donated by College members. Contact the archivist for more information.
