Gambling related harm programme for GPs and primary health care professionals
The Responsible Gambling Trust has awarded the RCGP funding to raise awareness and develop a training programme for GPs and other primary health care professionals to identify, treat and manage gambling related harm cases.

- To raise awareness throughout the primary care environment
The e-learning course supports GPs and primary care staff to identify and manage patients with problem gambling.
The prevalence and impact of problem gambling is underestimated and can range from lottery addictions to pathological internet-based gambling activities.
It is essential as a GP to be able to identify patients at risk and this course is designed to help improve the care and support you and your practice can provide by offering practical screening tools and the skills to manage problem gambling in general practice.
