RCGP Wales New GPs Conference

RCGP Wales First5 group is proud to present an exciting new conference for GPs, driving the development of general practice in Wales.

The main speaker, Dr Dawn Harper of Channel 4's 'Embarrassing Bodies', has vast experience in the media, and will share her experiences of media as a powerful tool in medicine. A panel of portfolio GPs will provide insight into how general practice can provide many career options. There will also be clinical breakout sessions in the afternoon, focusing on significant event analysis, chronic pain, dermatology and sexual health.

After a certificate presentation ceremony for new RCGP members, there will be a 3 course evening meal, providing a chance to socialise and network with friends and colleagues. To round off the event, after dinner entertainment will be followed by dancing to the end of the night.

The event will also feature a poster competition, for which there will be two cash prizes. Please contact us at welshc@rcgp.org.uk if you would like to submit a poster.

Tickets for the full day are priced at £100 for members of RCGP, and £120 for non-members. There are, however, various price options for those who only want to attend certain elements of the event- please contact us at welshc@rcgp.org.uk if you would like more information.

For those who wish to book in groups we are running an 'early bird' rate of '5 for the price of 4' until the end of June 2014. Again, please contact us at welshc@rcgp.org.uk to take advantage of this offer.

Wales Coastal Path Sponsored Walk

As part of the RCGP 60th Anniversary, RCGP Wales has launched the All Wales Coastal Path sponsored walk.

We are asking RCGP Welsh members to support the celebrations and help us to walk the whole of the All Wales Coast Walk this year.

If you are interested in completing a segment of the walk, please contact your local Faculty Administrator, who will make a note of which segment you are completing. You are, of course, welcome to register for a segment that is not in your local area if you are traveling around during the year on holiday. This table details which segments have been or are due to be completed.
