Cumbria Faculty

Welcome from Cumbria Faculty

We support over 370 members, Fellows, Associates and Associates in Training in the east, south and west Cumbria region. As well as a range of CPD initiatives, we also support very active self-directed learning groups all over the region, encouraging networking among GPs spread over geographically challenging areas. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain and provide support to GPs who are potentially professionally isolated. We also support regular meetings for the local sessional GP and First5 groups in north and south Cumbria.

Get involved

Appreciating both work-related time pressures and our region's 'travelling issues' (roads and weather) we have opened up our board meetings which can now be accessed by webinar from anywhere in the region. We also regularly have representation from local groups such as LMC, CCGs and our on-call providers CHoC, but would love to have more members voice their opinions in this forum.

Upcoming events

We run many education courses and social/networking events throughout the year. Many of these contribute to CPD and professional development.
