GP Reimagined 2017 - Save the date!
The RCGP North East England Faculty are excited to announce the programme for the full day conference GP Reimagined on Thursday 11 May, 2017.
This is set to be a fantastic day with some great keynote speakers as well as local practices celebrating innovation in Primary Care and focusing on the future of General Practice. It is open to not only practising GPs and GP trainees but we are also encouraging allied health workers such as practice nurses, pharmacists, and practice managers. At only £20 per person, we are encouraging as many practices to send a representative to hear how other practices are managing and thriving in the current climate.
Please book now to avoid disappointment - GP Reimagined.
The North East England Faculty support over 1700 members, Fellows, Associates and Associates in Training in the area from Scottish Border to the North, the Cumbrian Border to the West and the Southern Border to Cleveland.
We work with the different organisations delivering joint events and are continuously developing links with other primary and secondary care organisations. We also provide Clinical Skills Assessment courses in association with Health Education England.
We have an excellent relationship with AiTs and First5 in the area and support the delivery of lectures in the Newcastle area. These are supported by local AiTs and First5 RCGP members. If you would like to be involved in these lecture or have an idea of topic or potential speaker please email the Faculty office.
The programme for 2016 is already filling up with new and exciting courses. Take a look at the events page or email the Faculty office for more information.
We rely on members to play an active role locally, promoting the College aims and objectives. It is essential to raise and maintain awareness of demographic issues and needs of GPs and patients alike, and develop initiatives to support these. If you would like to find out more about becoming involved with the faculty we would be delighted to hear from you.
Members are invited to join the Faculty board meetings to observe or apply to join the board. If you would like to discuss an item please let us know so that it can be considered by the board prior to the meeting. Your opinion matters to us especially with all the changes happening in general practice at present, your Faculty can help.
You will be receiving regular monthly e-bulletins from the faculty, this is to reduce bulk email's you receive from the College. If you have articles or items to add to this please email the Faculty office.
