GP Reimagined 2017 - Save the date!
The North East England RCGP would like to warmly invite you to this special event designed to encourage, inspire but also challenge GPs in our region. Building on the success of last year we aim to celebrate and share good practice and innovative ways of working. In a time of change and great challenge for Primary Care and the NHS as a whole, we see this as an opportunity to hear the views of some high profile and respected speakers as well as GPs and primary care innovators from our region who might inspire us to think creatively about how we should take general practice into the 21st century.
We would like to invite practices to share by presenting any innovative ways of working that they have tried. these can be lessons learnt as well as what worked well. Please reply to Clare Bartram with a brief description of your experiences a d we will be in touch nearer the time.
Booking can be made via the events page.
The North East England Faculty support over 1700 members, Fellows, Associates and Associates in Training in the area from Scottish Border to the North, the Cumbrian Border to the West and the Southern Border to Cleveland.
We work with the different organisations delivering joint events and are continuously developing links with other primary and secondary care organisations. We also provide Clinical Skills Assessment courses in association with Health Education England.
We have an excellent relationship with AiTs and First5 in the area and support the delivery of lectures in the Newcastle area. These are supported by local AiTs and First5 RCGP members. If you would like to be involved in these lecture or have an idea of topic or potential speaker please email the Faculty office.
The programme for 2016 is already filling up with new and exciting courses. Take a look at the events page or email the Faculty office for more information.
We rely on members to play an active role locally, promoting the College aims and objectives. It is essential to raise and maintain awareness of demographic issues and needs of GPs and patients alike, and develop initiatives to support these. If you would like to find out more about becoming involved with the faculty we would be delighted to hear from you.
Members are invited to join the Faculty board meetings to observe or apply to join the board. If you would like to discuss an item please let us know so that it can be considered by the board prior to the meeting. Your opinion matters to us especially with all the changes happening in general practice at present, your Faculty can help.
