Welcome to the South East Thames Faculty's blog where you can read about all our latest news.

This year we will run our popular minor surgery and gastroenteritis courses: in conjunction with the South West Thames Faculty, as well a two-day minor surgery course in Brighton on 25- 26 April, designed to be a practical course run by experts.

On 16 May in the Maidstone area we are running a gastroenterology event - A Pragmatic Approach to Managing GI in Primary Care. The event is GP focussed, looking at the very real dilemmas faced by GPs in diagnosing and managing patients presenting with common GI symptoms. You can book onto all our education events, via our website.

The Faculty's 2018 annual lecture and social will take place on Thursday 27 September from 6.30pm at the Hadlow Manor Hotel, Hadlow, near Tonbridge, Kent TN11 0JH. The guest speaker is RCGP Chair of Council, Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard who will talk on topical issues affecting GPs and give an update on what the College is doing for its members.

The event is the faculty's main social for the year, with plenty of time to socialise over a sit-down hot buffet before the lecture. The event is free for members but booking is required for catering purposes.
