International Faculty representation
Become a UK International Faculty representative
International Faculty Representatives foster engagement and communication between their faculty, the International Department and the International Programme Board. They provide information to our team, and also communicate information to GPs registered with their local faculty.
It's an important role, because it ensures the RCGP International team are aware of the work that UK faculties are engaged in. It also allows us to engage GPs who want to work internationally, and get those with expertise involved in our work.
The role profile is detailed below and the International Department is accepting volunteers to take on this role for their faculty.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to apply or find your faculty representative to learn more about how you can engage with RCGP International Team.
The RCGP recognises the important contribution our members make to the promotion and development of family medicine when working overseas. We also understand that there is still great value for you to engage with the College, ensuring that you are informed and updated of policy or clinical updates.
RCGP’s support does not end when you leave the UK, and we are eager to offer you advice and guidance on issues relevant to you.
We understand that Revalidation and its requirements are clearly a priority for our overseas members, and we have developed bespoke guidance offering advice on Revalidation and the Performers list when working overseas. RCGP is committed to making the Revalidation process easier for our Overseas members, and recognises the crucial work many of our member are doing internationally. We will continually work with our colleagues at the GMC, COGPED and Health Education England to ensure that the process of Revalidation and returning to work in the UK is as easy as possible.
