New issue alerts
BJGP New Issue Alerts (also known as table-of-contents or TOC
alerts) can be emailed directly to your inbox by subscribing via
IngentaConnect. Members
will need to create a personal registration with IngentaConnect:
note that RCGP Member logins and passwords cannot be used for this
purpose.
To register, go to IngentaConnect and
follow these five steps:
- Select ‘Sign in’, which is located at the right
margin.
- Select ‘Sign up here’ and enter your details in the Personal
Registration page, then select ‘Register’.
- Once registered, select ‘Adding new issue alerts’.
- Under the ‘Current’ tab, select ‘HTML’ unless you use Entourage
as your email client, in which case choose ‘Plain text’.
- Under the ‘Add’ tab, search for ‘British Journal of General’.
Once the full journal name has appeared, click on the small box to
the right, then select ‘Add’. You will now receive notification of
the table of contents whenever a new issue of the journal is
published.
Marked lists
To add items to the marked list, login to the Online journal as usual,
locate the article abstract, and click on 'Add to marked
list' icon at the top of the page. To retrieve items in your
marked list click on the 'Marked list' option at the top right of
the page.
Further information
Members do not need a personal registration to search the
journal, sign up for RSS feeds, or to export references to
bibliographic mangers (for example, Endnote).
