Editorial policy

The British Journal of General Practice is an international journal publishing articles of interest to family practitioners worldwide. Priority is given to research articles asking questions of direct relevance to patient care. Papers are considered on the basis of this alone; the professional background of the authors (and whether or not they are members of the Royal College of General Practitioners) is of no importance.

The Journal is published by the Royal College of General Practitioners, based in the UK, but has complete editorial independence. Opinions expressed in the BJGP should not be taken to represent the policy of the Royal College of General Practitioners unless this is specifically stated.
