QPA costs
The cost of QPA to practices including the
assessment visit and the plaque is as follows. The same costs apply
to practices seeking re-accreditation.
- £3,900 for all practices valid for current
version (14)
- £1400 of the fee is payable at the time of
submitting the ‘Notice of Intention to Apply’.
- The remainder is due when the written
evidence is submitted.
Practices that have been unable to complete
QPA within their initial time frame can transfer to the most
current version. The cost for this is £200 and covers
administration costs, this is a non-reimbursable charge.
Cheques should be made payable to the Royal
College of General Practitioners and for further information
contact your regional office.
Group and Joint Practice applications
Depending on the practice structure, group
practices may be subject to a modified QPA costing.
Costs for joint practice applications can
vary. This is based on the workload the QPA adviser has to manage
during the QPA process. It will also include the additional
workload that the assessment team will have to carry out.
Joint practice submissions are likely to incur
an extra cost if:
- The practice domains and criteria covered in QPA are different
or require independent evidence.
- The practices are administered separately. Joint practices may
be asked to pay a fee of one and a half the normal cost of QPA at
the deposit (NIA) stage. When the balance is this
will include the additional expense of a one and a half
day assessment visit.
