Essential Knowledge Updates

Essential Knowledge Updates (EKU) are
structured learning activities produced by RCGP that help GPs to
meet their CPD and Revalidation commitments by assimilating and
applying new and changing knowledge in clinical practice.
EKU - What You Should Know
- The Essential Knowledge Updates provide GPs with a six-monthly
focused update on selected items of new and changing knowledge
central to everyday practice
- Two Updates are produced each year and each Update summarises
the latest information, suggests ways that you can improve your
practice and helps you capture any learning needs in your personal
development plan.
- Six months after each Update is launched, an associated
Essential Knowledge Challenge (EKC) is
added - an online assessment that tests your understanding of
the Update.
Current Updates
Updates consist of major topics and briefings focusing on
new and changing information that relates to key clinical areas of
national significance.
