The Professional Development Board (PDB) oversees all CPD and RCGP quality-related initiatives

 


 

Continuing Professional Development

Details of the RCGP's CPD initiatives, including the CPD Credits Scheme, which helps support GPs' learning during Revalidation.

 

Appraisal

The purpose of Appraisal is to enable all GPs to continuously improve the quality of their practice and to assist in the early identification of doctors in difficulty, so that they can be offered appropriate support.

     

RCGP Credit Based System for CPD

The principle aims of the RCGP CPD Credits Scheme are to ensure that every GP continues to update and apply their clinical knowledge and skills, to promote patient confidence that a GP's knowledge is up to date and ultimately to help improve patient safety.

 

 

 

Fellowship

Fellowship is an honour, denoting the esteem in which a Member of the College is held by his or her peers. It is a mark of achievement to which every Member should aspire and from which no Member should be debarred solely by circumstance.
