QPA Application Process
New Applicants
Firstly you will require the current QPA handbook – Version11.
Whilst the full version 11 is available to download from this website, it
is possible to purchase bound hardcopies priced at priced
£15. The handbook contains all the information required to
successfully complete QPA including the criteria & evidence,
example plans, a Guide to Audit, the full User Guide and the
current cost of applying. This is a 98 page document.
Please contact your
regional office if you wish to purchase a bound
hardcopy.
The notice of intent to apply form is enclosed in the
handbook on a detachable page. To formally apply please complete
and return the application form together with the £800 deposit.
This should be forwarded to your regional office.
Upon application we will send you details about the QPA Advisor
as well as guidelines and advice on how best to plan your QPA
journey.
Re-accreditation
The process for re-accreditation is the same as applying for QPA
as a new practice. The costs are the same and the
timescale for completion is the same.
For a seamless transition from one version of QPA to another, a
practice should be seriously thinking about the task in hand two
years before the current version expires and have re-applied no
less than 18 months (the current time allocation for completion)
before the current version expires.
The current
version is available on this site under "The QPA Process" on
the side bar menu.
Candidate Information Days
The College also holds a Candidate information day each year for
practices in England and Wales in London and for Scotland in
Perth. These days are for practices wanting to learn more
about QPA as well as practices that have already embarked on their
QPA. Please Check the News and Events page for details of Candidate
Days in your region.
