P3 Carers resource
P3, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, and the Scottish Government have produced a resource for GPs to help support, carers within their communities.
Cited as an official Action Point for the Scottish Government/COSLA Carers Strategy, and striving to go beyond QOF points, this resource is designed to be held on your IT system with a printable page with essential contact information to be handed out to the carer if required.
The Scottish Government and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) collaborated with a range of public bodies to develop two strategies to ensure carers are supported :
- Caring Together The Carers Strategy for Scotland 2010-2015
- Getting it Right for Young Carers Strategy - The Young Carers Strategy for Scotland 2010-2015
Carers Scotland prepared a concise summary of the headline Actions arising from the strategies.
