Membership

The PPG is composed of eight lay members and five general practitioner members. Its lay Chairman, acts as an observer at Council meetings to ensure that relevant issues are discussed at the Group. The Chair is supported by a Medical Vice-Chair and a Lay Vice-Chair.

Lay Members

The lay members of the PPG are appointed following advertisement of vacancies and interviews and with a view to appointing people with varied backgrounds and experience. Lay members contribute to the PPG from a patient's viewpoint and are not appointed to be representative of any organisation.

GP Members

The Honorary Secretary seeks nominations through Faculties and the Networks of Council for GP membership on the Group. At least one general practitioner member is normally a member of the Council.

Further information about the members of the PPG is available.
